Starting 259 kilometers from Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, the project is the Rivne segment of the M06 Kyiv - Chop highway rehabilitation efforts.
In brief, the project involves 62.3 km of 2x2 main road, 24.4 km of 2x2 access roads, 19.9 km of pedestrian walkways, 6 parking lots and rest areas, 11 bridges, 1 pedestrian underpass, and 46 culverts.
The project, part of the rehabilitation of the M06 Kyiv - Chop highway, is composed of six distinct stages between 128th and 441st kilometers, put out to tender in accordance with international procurement requirements and using the funds provided to the Ukrainian Government by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). The highway bears the brunt of the traffic between Kyiv and Europe, leading to heavy deformations in the existing road and necessitating the entire road to be rehabilitated using a cement treated base and three layers of new hot mix asphalt pavement.
The project was completed in 3 years, and reached a maximum staff of 472.
