The project involves the rehabilitation of the road that links Chisinau, the capital of Moldova, with Soroca. The project has been financed by MCA-Moldova, an entity established in Moldova by U.S. foreign aid agency Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC).
The project is part of the initiative funded by the financial institution with the aim of establishing transportation to and facilitating the development of the agricultural areas in Northern Moldova.
The project involved the construction of 44.3 km of 2x1 main roads and 14.5 km of 2x1 side and parallel roads, 13 bridge repairs, 1 pre-tensioned I type beam bridge interchange, 1 pre-tensioned T type beam railway bridge, 306 culverts, and 1 rest area.
The project was completed in 2 years, and reached a maximum staff of 350.
